Organizational
Violence
Prevention Assessment
An assessment tool developed to assist an organization in identifying, evaluating and assessing the organizational factors, which may contribute to
violence occurring in the workplace. This tool focuses on the environment as well as the organizational factors such as: culture, values, human resource policies & practices, management
style & practices, security measures, relationship with employees, etc. which may contribute to violence occurring.
The purpose of this tool is to examine the environmental factors an organization
is responsible for so it may alter, adjust or eliminate those factors that may increase the likelihood of a violent incident occurring. The tool helps you to go
beyond identifying the characteristics of a potential workplace violence perpetrator to discovering the organizational "early warning signs" and factors
that may also create an environment where violence is more likely to occur.
Facility Risk Assessment
The heart of an effective workplace violence prevention program is an active
focus on security management that involves identifying risk and determining the appropriate safeguards to reduce or eliminate each risk. The objective of the
risk assessment is to examine each and every function as well as the physical facilities of the organization to thoroughly identify and quantify, real and
perceived, security risk and security sensitive areas. The assessment involves a review of data, policies, reports, records, and staff input as well as a hands on
inspection of the physical property. Our highly trained specialists can either conduct the assessment for you or train your staff in the process. The outcome
of the assessment is the identification of risks and recommendations for safeguards that can be used to reduce or eliminate the risks.
Individual Threat Assessment
The process of identifying dangerous individuals poses enormous risks and
uncertainties for those involved in the threat management process. For this reason, we have developed a methodology that focuses on identifying, examining, and assessing the sequence and patterns of behaviors that
perpetrators often exhibit prior to committing an act of workplace violence. The assessment is conducted by our highly skilled Forensic (the science of law and
evidence) Specialist who identifies the presence of the essential factors that are known to contribute to violence and also assesses the capacity of the individual
to initiate an act of violence. It also involves identifies and examines the presence of inhibitors to violence in order to make a full assessment of the
likelihood of violence actually occurring and to recommend alternative options to employers to address the situation.
