North American Broadcasting Company, and the National Institute for the Prevention of Workplace Violence have joined together to offer an insightful, educational and critical look at the troubling issue of 'workplace
violence'. W. Barry Nixon, President of The National Institute for the Prevention of Workplace Violence, leads the radio program "Workplace Violence Today". It offers an unprecedented opportunity to
educate the public on this emerging workplace issue. Often this issue is focused on in the media only when there is a newsworthy incident, usually a workplace homicide.
Each show features a leading expert, practitioner or researcher discussing the theme for the evening, with a primary focus on an insightful dialogue with the guest, although calls from listeners are also taken. "Workplace
Violence Today" goes inside the stories and beyond, to discuss the broader aspects of this troubling trend.
The focus is on examining the contributing factors, evaluating incidents, research, industry programs, government actions, legal implications and searching for solutions to stem the tide of the rise of violence in the workplace.
The hour-long talk radio program airs in Arizona, on station KFNX-AM 1100, Fridays at 6:00 p.m.
To provide your insight in related topics, or to ask a specific question, please call in during the radio program at (602) 265-7394.
